Nintendo Crushes August Sales with Mario Kart Hit

Nintendo ruled Japan's gaming scene in August 2025, with 'Mario Kart World' leading sales at over 261,000 copies. 'Donkey Kong Bananza' held strong in second place, while 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2' debuted with nearly 100,000 copies sold on the Switch. New titles like 'Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater' and 'Super Robot Wars Y' also joined the top five. Overall, Nintendo sold nearly 800,000 units, far ahead of rivals, and the Switch 2 continues to dominate the market.
