Gravity and WEMADE are facing fines from the Korean Fair Trade Commission for exaggerating item drop rates in their games, Ragnarok Online and NIGHT CROWS. Both companies will pay around $1,756 each for misleading players about the odds of obtaining in-game items. Gravity's inflated chances were up to 8 times higher, while WEMADE's were 3 times greater. This crackdown signals mounting pressure for transparency in the gaming industry, especially with the rise of gacha and lootbox systems. The KFTC is keeping a close eye on future practices.
