Scalpers Snag Nintendo Switch 2 Ahead of Launch

With the Nintendo Switch 2 set to drop on June 5, scalpers are already cashing in. A well-known Japanese reseller, Kaitori Enoking, sold out 110 units, priced well above retail—65,000 yen for the standard model and 70,000 yen for a Mario Kart bundle, compared to the expected 49,980 yen and 69,980 yen. Buyers rushed to grab them despite the markups. In response to past delivery issues, the seller will now limit sales to businesses but promises ample stock for launch day. The gaming community is not happy, reporting the reseller to Nintendo amid ongoing frustrations with scalping.
