Roblox Boosts Safety with Age Restrictions

Roblox is stepping up its game to keep young players safe. New age restrictions will use facial age estimation tech so kids can only chat with others in their age group. For instance, a 12-year-old won't be able to talk to anyone older than 15. This initiative starts in Australia, New Zealand, and the Netherlands this December, with a global rollout planned for January 2026. Roblox's chief safety officer, Matt Kaufman, says this will help users feel more secure about their interactions. Do you think this will make Roblox safer for kids?
