Fenris Creations has launched the alpha playtest for EVE Vanguard, a first-person shooter set in the EVE Online universe. Running from July 7th to 20th, this test, called Operation Avalon, aims to improve gunplay based on player feedback.
What’s interesting about Vanguard is its economic ties to EVE Online. Players can raid wrecks for parts and sell them in the MMO, which could change how both games interact. Additionally, missions in Vanguard will influence faction wars in EVE Online, creating deeper connections between the titles. With some rough spots in the alpha, will players find the gameplay as engaging as expected?
