Sony has officially shut down its PlayStation Stars loyalty program, less than three years after its launch in July 2022. Existing members can still earn points until July 2025, but new registrations are no longer accepted. Users will lose their points if they opt out, although some digital collectibles will still be available. The company plans to rethink its loyalty strategies after learning from user engagement, but no new program details have been shared yet.
