Microtransactions Take Over PC Gaming Cash Flow

A recent Newzoo report shows over half of PC gaming spending is now on microtransactions, with players focusing more on cosmetics and DLC rather than buying new games. While only 8% of gaming time is spent on fresh titles, older games dominate with 60% of playtime. As full game purchases drop to just 28%, developers are increasingly relying on in-game purchases to keep revenue flowing.
