Roblox is launching new account types to boost safety for younger players starting this June. Kids aged five to eight will have their own Roblox Kids category, while those nine to 15 will be grouped in Roblox Select. This aims to better control content access and communication for each age group.

For the youngest players, gameplay will be limited to titles with mild content, and chat features will be disabled by default, though parents can change that. Given Roblox's past safety issues, will these changes be enough to regain parents' trust?
