Santa Monica Studio confirmed that Kratos is here to stay, even as focus shifts to Faye in God of War Laufey. Creative director Cory Barlog mentioned that many stories featuring Kratos are still to come. Feedback on Laufey has been mixed, with some loving the combat and visuals, while others are disappointed with less Kratos. A remake of the original trilogy is also in the works.
