Valve is working on the Steam Deck 2, but it's clear there's still a long way to go. In a chat with IGN, Pierre-Loup Griffais shared that while they have a vision for the next-gen handheld, current gaming processors aren't quite meeting their needs for performance and battery life. Many of the new chips are better fit for low-end laptops than for a handheld console.
Supply chain issues are also causing delays, particularly around RAM availability. Valve hasn't set a specific launch date, but they are dedicated to the project and plan to provide updates down the line. Do you think the wait will be worth it?
