Sony's PlayStation 5 sales dipped to 8 million units last holiday, down from 9.5 million the year before. Even so, the PS5 is still a strong contender, having sold 92.2 million units globally, even outpacing the newer Nintendo Switch 2. Price hikes and economic issues have played a part in the slowdown, but hit games like Ghost of Yotei are keeping revenue healthy.

Looking forward, the highly awaited GTA 6 is poised to give PS5 sales a nice boost. Sony is shifting its focus to user engagement and software sales, hoping to extend the PS5's life while also gearing up for exciting releases like Marathon and Marvel's Wolverine. What upcoming game are you most excited about?
