Final Fantasy XIV is officially coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 this August! Director Naoki Yoshida shared the news at the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest 2026, showcasing a live demo that includes mouse controls and a solid target of 30 frames per second. Players can enjoy flexibility with both controller and keyboard/mouse setups, making it easier to craft and gather on the go.
The new version will also coincide with the Evercold expansion and a shift to a weekly content cycle, giving players more freedom. While frame rates might take a hit in busy areas, stability is the goal. Are you excited to try FF XIV on the Switch 2?
