Hideo Kojima will unveil new details about Death Stranding 2: On the Beach during a panel at SXSW 2025 on March 9 in Austin, Texas. Hosted by Kojima Productions and PlayStation, the event will provide fresh insights into the highly anticipated sequel, which is set to launch on PS5 later this year.
Fans who can't attend in person will be able to watch via livestream, with more streaming details to come. Ahead of SXSW, Sony’s State of Play presentation this week may also showcase new footage, and the game’s recent rating in South Korea suggests a release date announcement could be imminent.
Death Stranding 2 was first revealed in December 2022, with returning cast members Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux, and Troy Baker reprising their roles.
